Required Supporting Documents

Some types of fundraisers require additional documents to help us understand how the funds will be used and complete our review.

The documents listed below are required in addition to the Minimum Requirements for your fundraiser. Depending on your fundraiser, our Trust & Safety team may also request additional information or supporting documents before a payout is issued.

Educational Causes

If you are fundraising for tuition, school, college, university, or other education-related expenses, please provide:

• A student ID, if you are already enrolled
• A school or university acceptance letter showing the student's full name, course or program, and start date

Medical Purposes

If you are fundraising for medical treatment, medical travel expenses, or medical debt, please provide:

• A medical document or report issued by a hospital or qualified medical professional confirming the medical condition or diagnosis
• Hospital or clinic invoices showing the cost of treatment.

Building a Mosque

If you are fundraising to build a mosque, please provide:

• Confirmation of the mosque's location

Building or Supporting an Orphanage

If you are fundraising to support, expand, or build an orphanage, please provide:

• The orphanage's operational license issued by the relevant authority
• An organization chart showing the names and positions of key officials
• A valid ID for the most senior person responsible for the orphanage's day-to-day operations

Sadaqah Jariyah or Legacy Fundraisers

If you are fundraising for Sadaqah Jariyah or creating a legacy fundraiser in honour of someone, please provide:

• Your relationship with the person you are fundraising for. Please clearly state this in your fundraiser description.
• A valid ID for the person you are fundraising for, if they are living.
• If you are fundraising for someone who is not an immediate family member, additional verification, including an Attestation Letter, may be required. Please refer to our On Behalf of Someone Else requirements for more information.

Travel

If you are fundraising for travel, please provide:

• The purpose of the travel and the destination. Please clearly include this information in your fundraiser description.
• Accommodation and flight invoices.

Important: Travel to the following countries or territories is not supported on LaunchGood: Afghanistan, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Central African Republic, Croatia, Cuba, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Montenegro, Myanmar, Nicaragua, North Korea, North Macedonia, Palestinian Territories, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, The Republic of the Congo, The Russian Federation, Ukraine, Venezuela, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.

Business or Product-Related Fundraisers

If you are fundraising for a business, product, app, manufacturing project, or sales venture, please provide:

• A website or social media account that clearly describes the project, product, or service.

Rent Support

If you are fundraising to help pay rent, please provide:

• A rental agreement signed by both the landlord and tenant.

Support for an Academy or Educational Centre

If you are an individual fundraising to support an academy or educational centre, please provide:

• Authorisation license or certificate permitting operation of the academy or education centre 

Refugee or Asylum Support

If you are fundraising to support refugees or asylum seekers, please provide:

• Documentation confirming the beneficiary's refugee or asylum seeker status.
• A valid ID for the intended beneficiary.

Purchase of a Vehicle

If you are fundraising to purchase a vehicle, please provide:

• A purchase agreement or quote showing the vehicle's make, model, price, and the name of the registered or intended owner.

Debt Relief

If you are fundraising to assist with paying off personal or campaign-related debt (e.g., credit card, utility, or medical bills), please provide:

• Credit card statements, utility bills, medical invoices, or other official documents showing the amount owed, the person responsible for the debt, and the creditor.
• Any correspondence or notices from the creditor confirming the outstanding debt.

Mortgage Assistance

If you are fundraising to help pay an existing mortgage, please provide:

• A recent mortgage statement or annual mortgage summary issued by the lender and should show the borrower's full name, property address, remaining balance, and payment due dates.

Scout Groups

•  If you are fundraising as an individual, the applicable Minimum Requirements will apply.
• If a Scout group is fundraising directly, the fundraiser must be created as an organization. The group will need to provide the applicable Organization Minimum Requirements, including proof of registration or formal recognition by the relevant national Scout Association.
