3.1.1 Program description

The Dhul Hijjah Referrals Program rewards Participants for referring donors to join the Dhul Hijjah Challenge using a unique referral link.

3.1.2 How to participate

  • Participants must generate a referral code via the Dhul Hijjah tab on their fundraiser page.
  • The referral link must be shared to invite others to sign up to the Dhul Hijjah Challenge.
  • Each referral must be from a unique donor (different email and debit/credit card combination).
  • The referred donor must complete successful donations during the Dhul Hijjah Competitions period.

3.1.3 Referrals program schedule

The Referrals program shall run from 7:00 PM ET, Monday, May 4, 2026 – 7:00 PM ET, Monday, May 18, 2026 (the “Referrals program period”).

Only eligible sign-ups made during the Referrals program period will be counted for a referral boost. Any sign-ups or subscriptions made after 7:00 PM ET, Monday, May 18, 2026 will not be eligible to receive a boost.

Even if a donor continues to use the referral link after the Referrals program period, any subscriptions initiated after the end date will not qualify for the referral boost.

3.1.4 Rules and limitations

  • Unique donors only:
    • Each sign-up must be made using both a unique email address and a unique debit/credit card.
    • To ensure fairness, LaunchGood will check that neither the email address nor the debit/credit card has been used previously in any referral under the Dhul Hijjah Referrals Program.
    • Important: If a debit/credit card has been used once with a specific email address, any subsequent use of the same card with a different email address will be deemed ineligible for referral boosts.
    • This rule applies regardless of the order of usage or the associated email accounts.
  • Self-referrals are not counted:
    • Donations made by the fundraiser, their team members, or donations that directly benefit the organizer’s own fundraiser will not count.
    • This includes any donations where the organizer or their affiliates are the cardholders or associated email account users.
  • Minimum donation:
    • Donors must contribute at least the following amount to qualify:
      • $3 USD, CAD, AUD, NZD, or SGD
      • € 3 EUR

    • Donations below these minimum amounts will not qualify for referral boosts.
  • Pre-enrolled donors
    • Donors who are already signed up for or have previously pre-enrolled in Dhul Hijjah Challenge are not eligible for the referral boost.
    • This rule is enforced to ensure the referral program exclusively rewards new participant engagement.
  • Referral link policy:
    • Each fundraiser is allowed to generate only one referral link.
    • Once created, the referral link cannot be changed.
    • If any issues arise regarding the referral link, Participants must contact LaunchGood support for assistance.

3.1.5 Verification of eligibility:

LaunchGood reserves the right to perform manual reviews using its internal data system to ensure compliance with the above rules.

If any referral is found to violate these conditions, the boost will be forfeited, and the referral deemed ineligible.

The Sponsor reserves the right to take additional actions if fraudulent or suspicious activities are detected.

3.1.6 Disqualification criteria:

  • Any attempt to circumvent the unique donor rule, such as using different email addresses with the same debit/credit card, will result in disqualification of that referral.
  • Multiple referrals from the same individual or related entities are strictly prohibited.
  • Fair play and compliance:
    • LaunchGood takes the integrity of the Dhul Hijjah Referrals Program seriously. Any participant found manipulating or falsifying data will be permanently disqualified from the Competitions.

3.2 Daily Leaderboard Contest

3.2.1 Contest description

The Daily Leaderboard Contest (hereinafter, the "Contest") is an integral component of the Dhul Hijjah Competitions and is open to all registered fundraisers on the LaunchGood platform (the "Platform") who have an active fundraiser during the Contest Period.

The Contest consists of two ranking categories:

  • Most Raised: Tracks the total amount of online donations received per day.
  • Most Supported: Measures the number of unique online donors per day.

By participating in the Contest, fundraisers will be eligible to win daily prizes throughout the duration of the Competitions.

3.2.2 Contest period and reset interval

The Daily Leaderboards will reset every 24 hours, precisely at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), following the conclusion of each leaderboard period (each such 24-hour period, a "Contest Period").

The Contest starts on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM ET and ends on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM ET.

The Day of Arafah is considered a special Contest Period where prizes are doubled and the prize cap is removed.

3.2.2 How to participate

No separate sign-up is required. All active fundraisers are automatically eligible.

The contest begins at 7:00 PM ET, May 17, 2026, and ends at 7:00 PM ET, May 26, 2026.

The leaderboard resets daily at 7:00 PM ET.

3.2.3 Participant eligibility

The Contest is open to all active fundraisers on the Platform during the Contest Period.

General eligibility

  • Participants must be registered fundraisers on LaunchGood with an active fundraiser during the Contest Period.
  • If a Participant represents an organization, they must have the legal capacity to bind that organization.
  • By entering the Contest, Participants represent and warrant that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Official Rules on behalf of their organization.
  • All entries made in connection with the Contest are subject to verification prior to prize awarding.

Ineligible participants

  • Employees, independent contractors, officers, and directors of LaunchGood, as well as their immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members, whether related or not, are not eligible to participate.
  • Fundraisers or related content that contain unlawful, hateful, or obscene material, as determined solely by LaunchGood, will be disqualified.
  • Fundraisers that fail to comply with LaunchGood’s Terms of Use or these Official Rules will be deemed ineligible.
  • All funds raised through a fundraiser must be used solely for the intended purpose stated within the fundraiser.

3.2.4 Donation eligibility

To be considered eligible for the Contest, donations must adhere to the following requirements:

Unique donors only:

  • Each donation entry must come from a unique email address and a unique debit/credit card.
  • To ensure fairness, LaunchGood will verify that neither the email nor the debit/credit card has been used previously in any entry within the same Contest Period.
  • Important: If the same debit/credit card is used with multiple email addresses, only the first combination will be deemed valid, and subsequent combinations will be disqualified.
  • This rule applies regardless of the order of usage or associated email accounts.
  • Any attempt to circumvent this rule by using different email addresses with the same debit/credit card will result in disqualification of the entry.

Fair play policy:

  • Donations made by Key Controllers or Trustees of a charity through their personal or business accounts are not permitted. Such donations will be disqualified and will not count toward the contest. However, LaunchGood may, at its discretion, pardon a first-time offence with a warning. Any subsequent violations will result in the automatic disqualification of those donations from the contest.
  • Influencers (paid or unpaid) who are actively promoting a charity’s campaign may contribute their own money, funds raised from their followers, or money from their business. These donations are eligible and will be counted toward the contest.
  • Volunteers or individuals participating in peer-to-peer (P2P) campaigns who donate to their own fundraising pages in an effort to compete on the leaderboard will be allowed, and such donations will be counted.
  • Charity-to-Charity Donation Loops: Coordinated donations between charities that appear to be reciprocated (e.g., similar amounts exchanged to boost leaderboard standings) are not permitted and will be disqualified.
  • Donations claimed as offline funds by individuals affiliated with a charity will not be accepted if they originate from the charity or its affiliates, as only online donations made by organic donors will be counted toward the contest.
  • ACH Payments & Contest Eligibility: Donations made via ACH (bank transfer) can take 3-5 business days to clear. Please note that receiving a donation receipt does not mean the payment has been settled. To ensure fairness, only donations that are fully cleared and settled during the contest period will be counted and be eligible to receive the prize. Attempting to exploit delayed payment methods like ACH to gain an unfair advantage is not allowed and may lead to disqualification. (Click here to read more about ACH payment method)
  • To ensure compliance, LaunchGood reserves the right to conduct manual reviews using internal data systems.

Processing requirements:

  • Donations must be processed through the Platform at LaunchGood.com using a debit/credit or debit card during the Contest Period.
  • Donations must be made through the Platform and its third-party payment processor and successfully processed to completion before the end of the Contest Period to be counted toward the leaderboard.
  • Processing Time: Donations can take time to process. Any donation not completed before the end of a Contest Period will not count.

Ineligible donations:

  • Offline Donations: Donations made outside the Platform, including but not limited to cash, checks, money orders, or other donations not processed online, are considered ineligible.
  • Refunded, Returned, or Disputed Donations: Donations that are refunded, returned, or disputed at any point during or after the Contest Period will not be counted.
  • Delayed Processing: The Sponsor is not responsible for any delays or failures in donation processing.
  • Internal Promotions: Donations made via LaunchGood's internal marketing features—including but not limited to homepage placements, Discover page listings, and paid ads—will not be counted.
  • Donations flagged as originating from LaunchGood’s internal promotions (SRC = “internal_” & “lg_”) will be excluded from the Daily Leaderboards.
  • Manual Verification: LaunchGood reserves the right to manually review any donation to ensure compliance with these rules.

3.2.5 Ineligible donation sources

  • Self-Donations: Donations made by the fundraiser or their immediate affiliates (including family members or team members) will not be counted.
  • Proxy Donations: Organizations and proxies are prohibited from donating to their own fundraisers, whether directly or indirectly.
  • Related Entities: Contributions made by employees, board members, or representatives acting on behalf of the fundraiser are ineligible.
  • Ads and Promotions: Donations made through any LaunchGood Ads or internal promotion sources are excluded from leaderboard consideration.

3.2.6 Acceptable and Non-Acceptable First-Party Donations

To ensure fair competition and prevent manipulation of leaderboard standings, LaunchGood defines specific scenarios where first-party donations may or may not be accepted.

First-Party Donation Policy Update (Effective March 13, 2026)

Beginning March 13, 2026, LaunchGood will implement a standardized policy governing first-party donations across all Dhul Hijjah competitions, including the Daily Contest, and Mosque Competition.

Under this policy, first-party donations are capped at $20,000 USD per individual across all campaigns and contests for the duration of the 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.

For the purposes of this policy, first-party donors include individuals directly connected to the organization running the campaign, including but not limited to:

  • board members
  • staff members
  • founders
  • key stakeholders
  • individuals with decision-making authority or financial oversight within the organization

LaunchGood reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a donor is classified as a first-party donor.

Donations from individuals classified as first-party donors may be permitted up to the $20,000 limit described above. Any amount exceeding this cap may be excluded from leaderboard calculations and contest eligibility.

LaunchGood may review requests for exceptions to a donor’s classification. However, any exception must be reviewed and explicitly approved by LaunchGood.

This policy ensures consistent enforcement across multiple contests running simultaneously during Dhul Hijjah and helps LaunchGood manage compliance obligations with payment service providers and regulatory requirements.

Unless otherwise stated in this section, all other donation eligibility rules outlined in these Terms and Conditions continue to apply.

3.2.6a. Business Owners or Stakeholders Donating to Their Own Charity Campaigns

Individuals who are both stakeholders in a business and key controllers of a charity may not donate to their charity’s campaign from personal or business funds.

Policy:

  • Prior to March 13, 2026, these donations were not permitted.
  • Beginning March 13, 2026, such donations may be permitted only if they comply with the First-Party Donation Policy described above, including the $20,000 individual cap across all campaigns and contests.

3.2.6b. Influencers Donating Personal or Business Funds to Their Own Campaigns

Influencers who are supporting a charity, whether on a paid or voluntary basis, may donate their own money or funds raised through their business to their campaign.

Policy:

  • These donations are permitted and will count toward the leaderboard, provided they comply with the First-Party Donation Policy described above.

3.2.6c. Volunteers Donating to Their Own Fundraising Campaigns

Volunteers who are participating in peer-to-peer fundraising may contribute to their own campaigns to support their efforts.

Policy:

  • These donations are permitted and will count toward the leaderboard, provided they comply with the First-Party Donation Policy described above.

3.2.6d. Charities Donating to Each Other to Influence Leaderboard Standings

If two or more charities donate to one another in near-matching amounts or with the intent of manipulating leaderboard results, these donations will not be accepted.

Policy:

  • These donations are strictly prohibited and will not be counted toward the leaderboard.

3.2.6e. Affiliated Individuals Donating to Cover Unconfirmed Offline Contributions

In cases where individuals associated with a charity attempt to make last-minute donations to represent unverified offline contributions, such donations will not be recognized.

Policy:

  • These donations will not be accepted or counted toward the leaderboard.

3.2.7 Verification and compliance

  • Data Accuracy: The list of donations displayed on a fundraiser page or leaderboard may not accurately reflect the actual donation totals due to factors like processing time or manual reviews.
  • Final Results: Results are not official until the Sponsor has verified the donations and confirmed the leaderboard standings.
  • Right to Audit: LaunchGood reserves the right to conduct manual audits and data reviews to ensure compliance with the Contest rules.

3.2.8 Prize limits and distribution

Each fundraiser is eligible to win only one prize per category per day.

If a fundraiser qualifies for prizes in both categories on the same day, only the highest prize value will be awarded.

Prizes will be awarded daily based on leaderboard rankings.

On the Day of Arafah, prizes will be doubled, and the prize cap is removed.

Prizes are subject to standard payment processing fees.

Tie-breaker policy:

  • In the event of a tie for any leaderboard position, the total prize value for that rank will be equally divided among the tied Participants.

Prize disbursement:

  • Prizes will be distributed as donation boosts directly to the winning fundraiser’s fundraiser page.

Prize distribution may take several weeks after verification and will be reflected on the Insights tab of the fundraiser page.

3.2.9 Modification and disqualification

LaunchGood reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest at any time if unforeseen circumstances arise or to comply with legal requirements.

Any participant found engaging in fraudulent practices or manipulating the donation process will be disqualified from the Contest.

The Sponsor reserves the right to revoke prizes if the winner is later found to have violated any of these Official Rules.

3.3 Mosque Competition

The Mosque competition recognizes and supports mosque fundraisers during the opening days of Dhul Hijjah, when communities come together to give with intention. The competition runs during the first 9 days of Dhul Hijjah, including one Friday.

3.3.1 Contest structure and timeline

A single leaderboard will track fundraising performance during the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, ranked by total funds raised during the competition window.

  • Leaderboard ends: Tuesday, May 26th at 7:00 pm ET.
  • The contest is cumulative and includes one Friday.
  • All prizes are announced at the end of the full 9-day period, after eligibility checks and verification.

  • All eligible donations made from the official start time count toward the leaderboard, regardless of when a mosque opts in.
  • Mosques can join up until May 26th at 7:00 pm ET (Day 9 of Dhul Hijjah)

3.3.7 Verification and compliance

Data accuracy and verification:

  • The displayed donation totals during the Mosque competition may not accurately reflect the final results due to processing times or manual reviews.
  • Results are not official until LaunchGood has verified the donations and confirmed the leaderboard standings.

Manual review:

  • LaunchGood reserves the right to manually verify any donation deemed suspicious or flagged during internal checks.
  • The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of the Official Rules.

3.3.8 Disqualification criteria:

If disqualification occurs after a prize has been awarded, the Sponsor reserves the right to reclaim the prize.

Modification and termination:

  • LaunchGood reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Mosque contest at its sole discretion due to unforeseen circumstances or to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

  • Unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
  • Suspected or confirmed fraudulent activities or security breaches.

In the event of modification, suspension, or termination, the Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to notify Participants through the Platform or other official communication channels.

If the Competitions is terminated prematurely, the Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on eligible donations received prior to the termination, subject to verification.

5. Disqualification and conduct

Participants are expected to maintain the highest standards of integrity while participating in the Competitions. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Participant, at its sole discretion, if they are found to:

  • Engage in fraudulent activities, including but not limited to manipulating donation data, self-referrals, or proxy donations.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated methods to generate donations or manipulate the leaderboard.
  • Violate LaunchGood’s Terms of Use or any other applicable policies.
  • Attempt to circumvent eligibility rules through deceptive practices, including using the same debit/credit card with different email addresses.
