As part of Know Your Customer laws, every account on LaunchGood is screened through global sanctions lists, regulatory, and Anti Money Laundering enforcement lists. We also make sure to screen beneficiaries for accounts raising funds on behalf of someone.
Request Documentation
We do a review of necessary documentation in support of the fundraising cause. We also verify that the bank account connected is the appropriate one to ensure a clear path of funds distribution.
Enhanced Due Diligence
For campaigns raising funds outside of G7 countries, and especially in OFAC sanctioned jurisdictions, we conduct Enhanced Due Diligence checks and screen several layers to verify all associated parties.
Manual Reviews
Every campaign is manually reviewed by our team to make sure it follows our website guidelines. We ensure campaigns that are on our platform do not incite hate or violence towards any other party. We ensure campaigns to focus on their fundraising goals.
Fraud Screens
Using cutting edge technologies and approaches, our team of specialists reviews donations on all campaigns to ensure there are no fraudulent behaviors or activities. Our team also contact donors to confirm donations.
You, as a donor, must make the final determination as to the value and appropriateness of supporting any campaign, campaign organizer, or charity. We encourage donors to use their discretion when supporting campaigns.
We take possible fraudulent activity and the misuse of funds raised very seriously. If you have reasons to believe that a campaign organizer or charity is not raising or using the funds for their stated purposes, please alert our team of this potential issue by sending a message to support@launchgood.com so we can investigate it.
